T.J. whipped him in their first fight. There wasn’t any area of the fight where Barao had success. The fight was so one sided I’m surprised the commission sanctioned a rematch. On the other hand, Barao is the former champ who had won 22 straight fights. It’s hard to dismiss a guy with that history.
The key for T.J. will be his very first contact. Whenever you beat a guy you need to come right out and hit him hard IMMEDIATELY. T.J. must let him know that nothing has changed - he’s still the better fighter. Barao on the other hand is very tricky, but he needs to create space to execute. Last time he let T.J get to close and allowed himself to get smothered. It's not an easy task, but if he can find that space he can hurt anybody.
So you tell me, who’s gonna win?
